A Perfect Pairing: Boursot Wines Partners with Lavit Gallery to Celebrate Art and Wine in Ireland
- by David Bentley
Boursot Wines is proud to announce a new hospitality partnership with Lavit Gallery in Cork.
A special launch event took place on Thursday 30 January, 5.30-7.30pm in conjunction with the opening of the exhibition Works from Stock.
John Passmore of Boursot Wines and Brian Mac Domhnaill, Director of Lavit Gallery, are thrilled to launch this partnership, which promises to blend the worlds of art and wine in unique and inspiring ways.
“The worlds of art and wine are seamlessly intertwined, with both using the senses to appreciate their individual artistry. This partnership makes sense on a number of levels, and having already trialled a couple of events in late 2024, we are now delighted to formalise and expand on the initiative in 2025. Boursot Wines is proud to partner with Lavit Gallery in Cork, showcasing our offerings to the city and enhancing the experience for visitors and collectors alike,” said John Passmore, Boursot Wines.
This collaboration is designed to create a unique platform to engage a shared audience of connoisseurs and enthusiasts who appreciate fine wine and exceptional art. Together, we aim to enhance the experience of attending gallery previews, opening receptions, and special events. Visitors can expect thoughtfully curated wine pairings, including selections of red wines and white wines, to complement the exhibitions, adding another sensory dimension to these cultural gatherings.
We are also pleased to work with Orla McAndrew Food, Ireland's only Five Star Zero Waste Wedding and Event Caterer, who is also partnering with the gallery. She will be complementing the evening with her delicious food offerings, further enhancing the sensory experience of this special event.
As a company with a legacy spanning over 400 years, Boursot Wines has always valued partnerships that reflect our dedication to quality and innovation. Originating in the 16th century in Burgundy, France, the Boursot family transitioned from winemakers to wine selection experts, curating exceptional collections of French wines from France’s most prestigious regions. Now led by Guy Boursot, the company honours its heritage while evolving to meet modern tastes. Our portfolio has expanded beyond French wines to include a curated selection of South African bottles, showcasing the growing diversity in global winemaking.
With a recent expansion into the Irish market, this partnership with Lavit Gallery represents an exciting opportunity to connect with progressive Irish institutions and audiences. Through this collaboration, we aim to highlight the availability of Boursot’s wines in Ireland and create opportunities for wine lovers to explore and purchase our collections both at events and online.
We look forward to welcoming people to Lavit Gallery for this special occasion and many more events in the future, where together, we will celebrate the perfect pairing of wine, art, and exceptional cuisine.
